I have a quite interesting history for a guy born 1985. Some people think I'm the biggest asshole in the world and some think I'm a genius businessman. Some might even think that I'm a good Creative Director (which I am). For me these opinions do not matter so much now. My history was not all roses, and there is still a lot of unfinished business... Do not get me wrong, I've learned something with each mistake... But there are still a lot of mistakes to be learned from...
1985
- a very good wine year
- I was born

1986-1997
- travelled with my family, mainly in Europe and Asia
- lived abroad in Spain, Germany and Thailand
- private English language preschool in Thailand
- Steiner school in Finland
1998
- started doing web sites and stuff around 1998 with HTML
2000
- I learned about PHP around 2000 and MySQL a year after
- At this time I was still living in the magnificent Kerava!!!!
2002
- I got into dealing euro coins by accident. And before I realized it, I was shipping thousands of kilos of coins to Holland, Belgium, France, Portugal and many other countries... I made good money for a 16-year old guy.
2003
- Quit high school and started to look at an investor angel for my business idea
- Founded the UCCE coin company and got a business angel of the highest caliber, Eero Lehti
- I also got out of Kerava when I moved to Aurinkolahti, Helsinki (All young people living in Kerava dream of the moment of moving out of Kerava)
- UCCE did over a 129 000€ deal with Sokos. We made all the euro coins available through Sokos, including a collector’s folder.
- UCCE got Securitas Arvokuljetus and Stockmann (airport) as clients.
2004
- Started my military service at Vekaranjärvi
- UCCE scored major high profile client, Tintin. We made 10 000 numbered prestige coin sets that included all 12 countries 1c and 2c coins and a pure silver jeton designed for Tintin. See more here: Tintin
- Another high profile client Banque centrale du Luxembourg
- We made the first ever finnish hockey league championship coin set for the champion Oulun Kärpät
- UCCE also made coin sets to Skanska, Seinäjoen kaupunki, Haminan kaupunki, and an anniversary YO-coin set.
- During my military service I presented to the President of the Republic of Finland, Tarja Halonen.
2005

2006
- Sold out my personal coin collection (I'm now sad since this was an expensive collection and would now have been worth much more)
- I start as a director for Coin Group Ltd. The company's idea was to manufacture coin sets and sell coins and have web shops. Coin Group secured the rights to do a Real Madrid coinage. But other problems (caused by me) made our board decide not to proceed with this project.
The major shareholder of CG was Kai Mäkelä, who is one of the wealthiest persons in Finland... Mr. Mäkelä taught me so much about the basics of business in the short while that I had the privilege to work for him. If you like business stories, you should read his book: Rahapeli - Pelipöydässä Kai Mäkelä.
- I wrote my life biography Kolikon Kääntöpuoli (translation: The flipside of the coin). The book got good reviews from Kauppalehti (Finnish financial times), some women’s and teen magazines. The journalist from Helsingin Sanomat did not like my personality, but still the biography of a 20-year old was reviewed in Finland's number one newspaper (having over million readers daily)... The thought still makes me laugh...
My tryout with the big boys was put on hold for a short while when all operations shut down before the company got fucked up. I call this progress compared to UCCE's story, which was not pretty...
- Heikki is a dear friend for helping me get my life back on track.
2007
- 2007 ended one era of my life. After this my life was totally fucked up. I went to the doctor and they put me on some nice medication and told me not to work for a long time (my vacation continued over a year and a half). I had no one saying a good word of me (quite the opposite). Before I turned 21-years old I had been a ‘CEO turned Chairman’ in one of the most promising companies according to Talouselämä, suffered a bankruptcy. I had been on the front page of Kauppalehti about 5 times, the Image cover boy in a article about people born in the ‘80s, cover boy for Talouselämä (the youngest ever to get the honor), over 5 times on national TV and several times on the radio... (Radio Rock also called me on my 22th birthday... funny stuff)
- While my life was fucked up, I had some time to think how and why this happened... and I decided to get all well before turning 25 years old and make up for my mistakes to the people I know.
I would like to thank Heikki for the whole year of support and advice.
2008
- My life still is fucked up :)
- Let’s get back to this around 2010... when this is history
2009
- 2009 will be history somewhere in 2011 or 2012...
